Summary Host (ess)/Comp Food Attendant responsibilities include all aspects of food preparation, service and cleanup including keeping buffets stocked, wiping down tables, engaging in a meaningful way with guests, cleanup and preparation for the next day. You will also be required to occasionally clean or assist other departments as needed. Ultimately, you will ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for our guests during their stay with us. Essential FunctionsAid Manager/Supervisor with menu planning, ordering and inventory as requested
Bus tables during Breakfast, Manager's Social Hour and special Guest functions
Clean any spills immediately. Maintain clean public and work areas at all times
Maintain a neat and well stocked buffet line
Complete Food Service Training as required by State Laws
Greet all Guests coming into food service areas. Check with Guests to make sure everything is to their liking
Keep coffee urns full
Notify Manager of any problems or Guest comments
Practice the highest standards of cleanliness during food handling
Properly use all chemicals and equipment per manufacturer's guidelines
Set up and maintain all food and beverage items during any hours of food service, meeting room, and/or special Guest functions ensuring proper amounts and temperature
Strictly adhere to Company policies and procedures with regard to serving alcoholic beverages, wine and beer
Upon completion of food service, clean up the area in accordance with standards and procedures
Remain aware of any and all potential security problems and report them to your Supervisor and/or the GM/MOD
Follow emergency procedures, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), safety precautions and safest work habits
Follow proper key control procedure for issued keys
Carry out any reasonable request by Management
Education, Experience, Other Requirements Required Flexibility to work in shifts and report for scheduled shifts
Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
Excellent organization skills
Ability to follow instructions
Preferred High School Diploma or GED
Work experience in Customer Service in the Hospitality Field
Experience with hotel operation systems
