We are seeking a full-time Purchasing Specialist in Louisville, Kentucky.

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in coordinating purchasing activities, ensuring timely procurement of materials, and maintaining efficient supply chains.

Your expertise will contribute to maintaining efficient supply chains and supporting DieselUSA Group's growth.

Purchasing Specialist Qualifications

  • Previous work experience as a Purchasing Specialist or similar role
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to plan effectively and prioritize assignments in an interdependent environment
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information
  • Knowledge of automotive and diesel service industry helpful, but not required
Purchasing Specialist Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and selecting suppliers
  • Collaborating with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
  • Monitoring supplier performance
  • Analyzing industry trends, pricing fluctuations and supply chain disruptions
  • Recommending strategic purchasing decisions
  • Placing purchase orders and tracking deliveries
  • Receiving inventory and ensuring accuracy
  • Monitoring inventory levels and optimizing stock levels
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet customer and production demands
