The Electro/Mechanical Assembler will perform a variety of technical tasks in support of a manufacturing / production environment on 1st Shift. The individual will support the associated tasks listed below which are necessary to prevent a work stoppage or slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact to the factory and/or program's cost and schedule requirements. This position will also directly support CORE and other continuous improvements supporting production, development/prototype assemblies and products within the Advanced Product Center (APC) at the McKinney, TX site.

1st Shift – 7:00AM – 5:30PM (4/10 Schedule) – McKinney, Texas. This is an onsite role

What You Will Do

  • Assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, solder, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Set up and operate a variety of machine and hand instruments.
  • Route, dispatch and expedite flow of material.
  • Checks for work correctness.
  • Specific duties will include material preparation and the assembly and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform wire/cable preparation, installation, crimping, and torqueing using hand instruments.
  • All work is performed in accordance with written work instructions to prescribed standards.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Manufacturing, Assembly, Aviation or Naval Environment.
  • Experience in repair, installation, and inspection.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working in a classified or proprietary program environment is preferred
  • Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools
  • Excellent hand/finger dexterity and extreme attention to detail
  • Experience with the use of common hand instruments (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, torque tools and analyzers, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to detailed work instructions and quality standards
  • Ability to shift job assignments based on production requests.
  • Communicate effectively, develop more than one job at a time, and have the flexibility to work across shifts.
  • Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals.
  • Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process.
  • Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
  • Effective time management skills.
