Come ride with us in our Wilton, CT headquarters as Cannondale's new Supply Planner You'll be responsible for supply planning and purchasing activities for bicycles and related materials. You will ensure and share correct and detailed information regarding the flow of materials from our suppliers to our warehouses, while supporting our Global Sales and Operations Planning process across multiple plants. Responsibilities:

Supply Planning:

  • Planning and Delivery:
    • Purchasing and tracking of deliveries for assigned categories.
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials by monitoring POs, pricing, country of origin, and delivery statuses.
    • Expedite, delay, or cancel POs as needed to align supply with demand.
  • Inventory Strategy:
    • Develop and implement inventory strategies for product groups (ABC analysis) as defined by S&OP processes.
    • Maintain inventory levels to meet availability and stock targets while minimizing stock transfers and backorders
    • Identifying Inventory Risks and Create Mitigation Proposals with Category Planning teams
  • Cross-Functional Communication:
    • Proactively communicate product status updates to Sales, Customer Service, and Finance Teams.
    • Collaborate with shared service centers to expedite and update PO delivery and logistics information.
  • Data Management and Analysis:
    • Create and update Purchase Info Records for all relevant materials.
    • Analyze supply planning system results in alignment with the global S&OP process to generate purchase orders (monthly).
    • Maintain accurate factory addresses, contact lists, and vendor information in SAP as necessary
    • Maintain planned delivery time in conjunction with Sourcing and Regional Operations
  • Logistics and Loading Plan:
    • Approve loading plans to optimize container utilization.
    • Work with warehouse teams to resolve receiving issues due to inaccurate or missing PO information.
  • Variance Analysis and Reporting:
    • Identify and report significant variances between supply forecasts, budgets, and actual performance.
    • Conduct standard and ad hoc analyses to support planning activities.
  • S&OP Process Support:
    • Prepare data for the Monthly S&OP process

General Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain Material Master and Info Record data in SAP as needed.
  • Follow standard concepts, practices, and procedures for demand planning, supply planning, and purchasing.
  • Ensure compliance with S&OP and SIOP deadlines and internal controls.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for regular tasks.
  • Contribute to the company's success by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree with 6-8 years of experience in supply planning.
  • Proven success in inventory management, planning, MRP, and forecasting roles.
  • Proficiency with SAP ECC and SAP APO (SNP/DP) or similar.
  • Strong desire to take ownership of the supply and delivery function.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Preferred qualifications include APICS, Lean, or Six Sigma certifications.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and able to think creatively.

Physical Demands:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
