  • Title: Janitorial Technician
  • Location: Blair Nebraska
  • Salary: Up to $18 per hour depending on experience
  • Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-330p negotiable

What Will I Be Doing?

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

  • Team members must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. "Safety First" expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to; perform housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, restrooms, and public areas in clean and orderly condition.
  • Removes trash from offices and other work areas. Stripping and waxing of floors, burnishing waxed floors, cleaning, and maintaining carpeted floors, and floor scrubbing of ceramic tile floors. Assist other service personnel with minor facility service repair. Follow established routine. Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor.
  • Must be able to use hand tools and cleaning machinery on a daily basis such as floor sweepers and brooms.
  • Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
  • Compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
  • Communicates with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company's goals and objectives
  • Maintain personal tools required for your job.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job.
  • Maintain good attendance in accordance with Company policy
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
  • Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.

  • Experience: Two years' experience in Janitorial / Custodial applications desirable.

  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner
  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties
  • Communication/ Expression —The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Information Ordering — The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
