Performs skilled work in the repair and maintenance of sanitation collection containers which involves pressure cleaning, sanding, painting, and moving of refuse containers. Employees assigned to this classification perform a wide variety of tasks. May assist welders as required. May assist Collection Section on Task Force collecting residential, recycling and/or commercial refuse. Work is performed under the supervision of the Sanitation Section Supervisor or Welder III.

Shift: 10:00am to 6:30pm (hours subject to change based on Division needs)


Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, and follow instructions plus one (1) year experience in use of high pressure water hose, air sanders, spray painters.

Must be available for call-outs during all Emergencies (i.e. Hurricane Season)

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

  • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;

  • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
