Research Assistant Intern
Temporary Position

Description:

The SCCC DICR Program offers participants the opportunity to choose from 17 areas of research in the Biomedical Sciences, including Bacterial Pathogenesis, Cancer Biology, Gene Expression/Molecular genetics, Immunology, Neuroscience, and Stem Cell/Regenerative Medicine.

  • Gain experience in modern research techniques
  • Plan and execute experimental strategies
  • Participate in professional development activities

Admissions Criteria and Eligibility Requirements:

  • No citizenship requirement
  • Current sophomores or juniors (other undergraduates also considered)
  • Students interested in PhD or MD-PhD careers in biomedical sciences
  • We strongly encourage women, underrepresented minorities, and disadvantaged students to apply

The University of Miami is seeking participants for the DICR Program to join from May 20 to July 26, 2024.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Skills and Attitudes:

  • Ability in data analysis
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Critical decision-making
