Job Summary/Basic Function
About This Role:

This is a full time non-tenured clinical instructor appointment in the Department of Teacher Education. Primary responsibilities include supervising education students in field experiences in area schools and teaching undergraduate introduction to education courses.
What You'll Do – Position Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction as assigned in different modalities including in-person or online.
  • Perform formal observations of students, provide feedback and documentation to the teacher candidate and program.
  • Participate in the planning, review, and evaluation of the teacher preparation programs.
  • Site Coordinator/Field Supervisor role.
  • Participate and support program and department sponsored events.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor student performance outcomes through ongoing assessment.
  • Participate in department, college, and university committees and in other activities associated with professional status.
  • Create and sustain a culture of student support and success. Perform related duties essential to the university teaching profession such as outreach, recruitment, and retention efforts.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)
  • Master's degree in an education-related field.
  • 5 years teaching experience.
    Preference will be given lo candidates who have broad experiences across the elementary and secondary grades and who have evidence of excellence in teaching.
