Job Summary: The Subaward Coordinator I drafts, issues, and coordinates the execution of new less-complex awards and subawards under federal and non-federal sponsored projects under general supervision. Ensures new awards and subawards are issued in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, prime sponsor requirements, and University policies. Assists with negotiations with funding agencies and subrecipients. Assists with reporting obligations such as the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA).


Additional Department Summary: Bachelor's degree or higher and some contract and/or grant administration experience.


Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel. Customer service-oriented with the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.


Preferred Qualifications: Approximately two years of professional work experience. Experience in the preparation and processing of grant and/or contract proposals and sponsored agreement administration is highly desired. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, budget development and proficiency with database applications.
