Wyoming Seminary Upper School has an opening for a Chinese Language and English Teacher. The ideal candidate must be a dynamic individual who possesses a willingness to work closely with departmental colleagues, participate in curriculum design, and be willing to teach a wide range of courses within the Global Language and English Departments. The successful candidate will join an experienced, dedicated faculty that is deeply committed to the entire student experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach 5 courses
  • Provide academic support to students outside of class time
  • Serve as advisor for a small cohort of students
  • Participate in department and faculty meetings
  • Supervise or assist with two co- or extra-curricular activities
  • Cover study halls, campus spaces, and other related duties Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
    • Secondary teaching or relevant experience preferred
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administrators
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
    • Experience or interest in coaching sports, dorm parenting, and/or running student activities
    • Proficiency with current educational technology and with a range of current pedagogical techniques
    • Invested in positively and actively contributing to the school's growth and development
