Job Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing operations at our Aseptic Food Manufacturing facility and Ready-to-Drink facility, including oversite of the Batching Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, with a proven track record of managing leaders of production teams, driving the Safety of people, and Quality of products with a continuous improvement mindset. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager and will focus on the following:

  • Communicate the company mission, vision, and values through words and actions. Interact effectively to foster teamwork by harnessing the enthusiasm and excitement of others to achieve organizational goals.
  • Play a strategic role in the training and development of all direct reports. Manage a staff of direct reports through regular performance reviews and developmental activities to ensure movement towards a high-performance organization, while assuring effective performance of the department. Function as a mentor to build a positive and productive working environment.
  • Consistently able to demonstrate positivity, authority, and credibility. Ability to effectively work cross-functionally and with all levels of leadership within the organization.
  • Set aggressive objectives and priorities to drive improvement with clear and visual goals and accountabilities. Work with all departments and areas to align resources to deliver against business requirements in the areas of cost, financial controls, quality, safety, and business initiatives.
  • Apply CI manufacturing principles to improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of organizational and departmental metrics.
  • Develop capital justification for the factory to improve safety, quality, costs, and efficiency. Implement effective systems to monitor, control, and reduce operating expenses.
  • Establish a Safety-First culture and support all guidelines of GMPs, HARP-C, FDA, the Environmental Control Act, and OSHA standards to ensure the plant is in compliance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage production schedules and coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of finished products.

ImportantDetails: This is a full-time role on site in Cambridge, MD. Typical hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm, candidate MUST be flexible to meet the needs of the business that runs 24/5.

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience of a minimum of 7 plus years in a senior manufacturing leadership role.
  • Beverage Manufacturing experience
  • Conformable with having difficult conversations
  • Have good interpersonal and leadership skills to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, FDA, EPA, HARP-C regulations.
  • SAP experience a plus, among other systems including MS office products.
