Finance Operations Specialist - 6 Month Contract

Issaquah, WA

Your Day-to-Day:

The Finance Operations Specialist is responsible for providing support of a broad range of back-office support activities for Procurement, Client Credit, Accounts Payable and Finance / Accounting and/or Business Operations as assigned. This individual will aid in supporting the various teams by performing activities regarding system support, policy and procedure documentation, identification of process improvement opportunities and assigned projects.

Primary Duties
• Perform necessary vetting of vendor master file maintenance requests for new vendors and changes to existing vendors and/or upkeep within designated ERP systems as assigned; creating a opinion packet on validity of request and determination if packet is valid for approval submission
• Perform system maintenance within appropriate systems for employee expense report processing including employee profiles, system issue analysis and resolution, and data integration
• As assigned preform procedures around 1099 issuance and mitigating and issues
• As assigned aid with central airfare reconciliation of transactions with traveling employees
• Participate in JSOX audit requirements and/or any auditor requests when assigned
• Have a clear understanding of all JSOX and internal controls for groups supported
• Maintain a working knowledge of Company Level Control documents with relation to Finance to ensure ability to provided support as needed
• Provided consultation and documentation efforts regarding policies, procedure manuals, and internal controls
• Submit regular reports to management staff on status of projects, initiatives. and their respective progress within established cadence
• Maintain a working knowledge of policies and procedures for Client Credit and Accounts Payable to ensure ability to provide and/or direct support efforts for these teams including back-up support for vacations, out-of-office time, etc.
• Develop good customer relationships and address customer service needs timely
• Liaise between management staff, customers, and employees
• Assist management staff as directed

Scope of Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be able to analysis, research, and maintain data and reports with efficiency and accuracy. They will be able to provide management staff notice effectively and proactively of any identified issues with relation to tasks. The Financial Operations Specialist will ensure consistent and effective flow of communication between with customers [internal and external] business units and co-workers. An important part of this role is that of customer service and providing appropriate support to business units and internal teams.

Working Relationships

This position reports to the Finance Shared Services Lead and/or Supervisor, and will not have direct reports.

Who You Are:

Education & Experience
• 1- 3 years proven work experience or similar experience (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education a plus with a focus in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or similar field (preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software, Microsoft suite, MSD365 ERP solutions a plus
• Ability to accurately manage details, meet deadlines and support decisions with appropriate support within a fast paced, sometime ambiguous environment
• Aptitude to recognize and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Manage complex workload with a high degree of ethics and integrity, with discretion
• Knowledge of accounting principles and credit related laws a plus

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Normal working hours are 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday in an office environment while sitting at a desk. Overtime may be required during periods of high workload, to meet deadlines, or major projects.
