This Technician I position is part of the Equipment Services department located in Coralville, Iowa and will be onsite. At IDT, we are one global team. We celebrate our differences, engage in healthy debate, and are inclusive. Together, we accomplish great things.
Shift: weekend daytime, Friday - Sunday.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Support the reliability and sustainability of custom automated laboratory equipment in a high throughput environment
- Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance services and address unplanned maintenance on equipment
- Apply knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidics, optical devices/systems, controls systems
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Associate degree or 2+ years of related work experience, or equivalent combination or education and experience
- Ability to exert lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25-50 lbs. of force frequently
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills—including the ability to use hand and power tools
- Following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
- Automation equipment testing or troubleshooting preferred - including Beckhoff TwinCat/EtherCat and Unitronic or similar control systems
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
