As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will lead Via's efforts with our partners to engage in Fort Worth, Texas. The Community Engagement team works with local communities to ensure that our products and services meet the needs of, and are inclusive to, a wide spectrum of riders including the most vulnerable portions of the population. From project scoping and consulting to ensuring no rider is left behind as a new service launches, we're there to support the community at every stage of the deployment journey.

Note that this is a part-time role (up to 20 hours/week) that is temporary in nature with a planned end date in December of 2024.

What You'll Do:

Execute on Via's community engagement strategy in Fort Worth, TX, working both internally and externally to engage community groups, elected officials and riders, with a strong focus on vulnerable rider populations.Build relationships with community organizations and leaders to increase awareness of Via's services in their local communities and solicit information about their needs. This includes providing on the ground and virtual efforts such as attending community events, leading trainings, and creating engagement materials.Engage with riders and develop programs for continued education to ensure community members understand and take advantage of all service offerings.Support with local elected official engagement to understand community needs and engage their constituents. Create and deliver targeted marketing content aimed at educating community members on service offeringsServe as the main local point of contact regarding community engagement for our partner, helping them proactively identify and address community barriers and concerns.Who You Are:Effective at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and comfortable taking on responsibilityExperience in a community engagement or strategist roleExcellent verbal and written communicator with a knack for always finding the right toneProblem solver; you don't accept the status quo and are always looking for creative solutionsMeticulous and vigilant, with a high level of attention to detailSpanish language skills a plusCompensation and BenefitsFinal salary will be determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, and skills.
