JOB SUMMARY:

Come join our team at Delta Center The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for handling the incoming and outgoing shipment of goods and materials. They will report to the Shipping & Receiving Lead and perform all duties required to ensure that all shipments and deliveries are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates closely with the Shipping & Receiving Lead to ensure the accurate tracking of all incoming and outgoing deliveries for Smith Entertainment Group.
  • Receives and inspects all incoming shipments for damages, defects, records discrepancies, or damages.
  • Verify accuracy of shipment contents against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels etc.
  • Coordinates with Delta Center Building Security team and carriers to schedule pick-up and delivery of shipments.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, maintain accurate records, and sorting/distribution of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipping and receiving issues.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Capable of operating and driving a box truck and/or company vehicles.
  • Deliver/transport goods and equipment to various facilities approved by Smith Entertainment Group management team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License Required with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to stay calm in highly stressful situations.
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time
  • This person must be able to lift 75 lbs
