BILLING SPECIALIST

Westwood Professional Services, Inc.

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for data integrity, document management, and best practice implementation on projects. Responsibilities include invoicing, lien waivers, and other accounting duties as assigned. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.



Duties and Responsibilities
  • Generate and process accurate invoices for clients by collaborating with internal partners to obtain the necessary information and return to project managers for updating and approval.
  • Complete, obtain signatures, and re-distribute lien waivers back to project managers and clients.
  • Respond daily to emails from internal and external partners.
  • Update client records in Deltek Vantage Point to ensure we have the appropriate accounting contact along with invoicing instructions.
  • Assist with monthly monitoring and follow up on outstanding A/R balances.
  • Support project managers and clients with billing questions and issues.
  • Help with month end reporting and statements.
  • Process check requests.
  • Manage and maintain the petty cash fund.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Required Skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment; meeting deadlines is crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective team member who displays initiative and acts with integrity.
  • Strong Microsoft Office applications knowledge, specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


Required Experience
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred, but not required.
  • 1-3 years' experience
