AVP, Client Partner, Life Sciences – 50 to 75% travel

Overview

We are seeking an AVP, Client Partner (CP), to join our growing Life Sciences team to lead one or more of the company's strategic Account relationships. CP will play a key role in our growth and are tasked with rapid business expansion within their assigned account(s), including managing business development and delivery objectives, top and bottom-line P&L, customer satisfaction, and the overall Account relationship for one or more key accounts. They will lead a team of Client Relationship Managers and possibly other Delivery Managers to perform technical program and project management of geographically disbursed teams using established criteria and professional standards, and work with architecture teams to deliver full-life cycle technical solutions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: AVP, Client Partner, Life Sciences

Key Responsibilities:

Business

· Acts as the leader of the account to drive new, renewal, and expanded business opportunities, revenue streams, profitable growth, and client satisfaction for all Cognizant solution portfolios.

· Actively drives or supports the coordination of global opportunities and acts as the face of Cognizant to global clients.

· Regularly reviews account performance metrics and client satisfaction with Cognizant senior management, engagement, delivery, operations, and finance teams to optimize account performance.

· Drives the KPIs used to measure contribution to the growth of the client's business and company performance.

· Manages account P&L to meet or exceed specified revenue and profitability targets.

· Provides timely reporting and actionable insights on sales and customer-related issues or concerns and works with engagement and delivery leadership to resolves outstanding account challenges.

· Applies appropriate tools, processes, and methods to ensure consistent, effective execution of tasks (e.g., WinZone, Client Value Framework, Client Messaging Framework)

Required and Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

1. Key Responsibilities

· Client Leaders/Partners play a key role in our growth and are tasked with rapid business expansion within their assigned accounts, responsible for growth, health, and prospects of account relationships.

· The Client Partner is the end-to-end account owner responsible for overall account P&L and senior client relationships This role requires extensive CxO level relationship building and executive connects, as well as a focus on revenues, operating margin, customer satisfaction and employee growth and development.

· Must bring top-notch consulting /relationship management skills and a deep appreciation of IT tools, techniques, systems, and solutions.

· Review the performance metrics of the account with the delivery, operations, and finance teams on regular basis.

· Be part of senior management reviews for the performance metrics of the account relationship

· Collaborate with multiple service lines, innovation teams and business teams in Cognizant to formulate a business plan and execute it for the account relationship.

· Have regular meetings and interface with the customer decision makers and influencers.

· Works with the business team to identify the right business problem and gather the requirements.

· Build and manage executive level relationships acting as senior point of contact.

Act as the overall leader of the account team, setting and driving strategy.

Optimize account performance including growth, service mix, margin & experience.

Identify and grow new and expansion opportunities.

Partner with CRMs and Service Line Specialists to close opportunities on accounts.

· Drive profitable growth of the account relationship through identifying and overseeing the closure of new, renewal, and expansion opportunities.

· Develop client engagement strategies.

· Manage accountability against Measurable Revenue/Profit Growth within set timelines.

· Review the performance metrics of the account with delivery, operations and finance teams on regular basis.

· Be part of senior management reviews for the performance metrics of the account relationship

· Collaborate with multiple service lines, innovation teams and business teams in Cognizant to formulate a business plan and execute it for the account relationship.

· Have regular meetings and interface with the customer decision makers and influencers.

· Have a complete understanding of the relationship position within the account.

· Be responsible for execution and customer satisfaction in all the revenue portfolios within the account.

· Identify and forge partnerships and tap into existing alliance partnerships of Cognizant to grow the account.

· Shape the thought leadership agenda. Actively drive execution of the innovation agenda for the portfolio

· Focus on developing a plan to increase the visibility of Cognizant in the account relationship and in the practice industry.

2. Mandatory Capabilities/Skills /Years of Experience

· 20+ years of overall IT experience.

· Life Sciences and Medical Devices Domain Knowledge with IT Delivery and Sales / Account Management.

• BSc/BA required; master's degree is preferred.
