This position reports directly to the VP of Product R&D and will act as a strategic partner and advisor in terms of technology, innovation, intellectual property, know-how, organizational technical strength, R&D strategy, product commercialization, and program execution.
This role works closely with strategic product, technology and venture partners to define the needs being addressed in each R&D program and deliver the concepts, capabilities, designs, and plans to meet these needs.
This role will also ensure that R&D projects are delivered on time, in budget and that the products meet specifications.
On any given day, you might:
Operate a consultative GenAI client solutions practice responsible for identifying, harvesting, grooming, and enabling use cases across the companySupport the evolution of use cases who need product guidance, standard methodologies, enablement support and thought leadership.
Elevate key priorities, opportunities, and challenges to leadership for strategic consideration and collaboration.Implement performance transparency of pilots and use cases to ensure key parameters are being met and company resources are deployed most efficiently.
Partner across the organization to lead R&D efforts and processes in acquiring an in-depth understanding of the customer needs, and applying both strategic and tactical methods to stay on top of the evolving trends in the competitive landscape.
Act as both a strategic problem solver and architect for the future technology and capability needs of CTO R&D to implement business strategy.
Build a diverse team by attracting and recruiting top talent.Drive continuous organizational and leadership development to enable R&D growth.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering.
8 years of project management, product management and/or leadership experience in technology roles.
A deep understanding of the FinTech industry generally.
Proven track record building, launching and driving products through the lifecycle.
Ability to bring innovative thinking couples with practical execution to solve multi-dimensional issues.
Demonstrated leadership and management experience in working with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams on complex projects.
Understands team dynamics and experienced at building teams that deliver results.
Requires excellent written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Highly focused on delivering products that meet the needs of patients and customers.
Experience in building and leading teams including talent acquisition and developmentAbility to influence leadership to adopt new ideas, products and/or approachesBrings support and positive attributes to a culture that is respectful, supportive, goal oriented, scientific and diverse.
Must have ability to read and understand complex contracts of the business, work with the legal and transaction teams and operate the R&D program in awareness of the foregoing.
