Atlanta, Georgia, United States Marsh McLennan Full time
Company:
Marsh
Description:
Marsh is seeking candidates for our open Vendor Selection Engagement Lead position. This role will join our Marsh Consulting Solutions which provides risk management consultation to global leaders in retail, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, financial, and hospitality industries. Our consulting practice regularly engages with Fortune 500 companies to solve for the most complex of casualty claim issues.
The role will be a US-based hybrid position and can be based in any Mercer office location.
What can you expect?
  • The Vendor Selection Engagement Lead will oversee and project-manage a complex process where a third-party administrator (TPA) of casualty claims is selected on behalf of Marsh clients who have unbundled claims administration from their primary casualty insurance carriers. In some cases, the incumbent TPA will retain the business.
  • The Vendor Selection Engagement Lead is responsible for all aspects of the TPA RFP vendor selection process including the development of a work plan, budget, and final deliverables.
  • Our clients' TPA claims programs typically involve traditional casualty lines, but may also include workers' compensation managed care, medical malpractice, group or single-parent captives, and owner-controlled insurance programs (OCIPs).
  • The position is the most client facing in project delivery, often interacting with risk managers, claim directors, C-Suite executives, and TPA senior managers.
What is in it for you?
  • A company with a strong brand, with experience developing solutions for todays and tomorrow's toughest challenges
  • A culture of internal mobility, diversity, inclusion, and collaboration
  • Employee Resource Groups which provide access to leaders, relevant volunteer and mentoring opportunities, and interactions with counterparts in industry groups and client organizations
  • Flexible work opportunities for work/life balance
  • Competitive pay and a full benefits package, starting Day 1 (Medical, Dental, Vision, Short- and Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance, Employee Stock Purchase program, and a generous paid time-off allowance); plus, a fixed company contribution AND a company match on your 401k, after one year of service
We will Count on you to:
  • Manage a portfolio of vendor selection projects, ensuring all aspects of delivery are maintained (scope, schedule, and budget).
  • Maintain ultimate responsibility for quality of all work deliverables assigned and collaborate with project team members to develop performance and mentor less senior team members.
  • Challenge existing practices and drive innovative solutions in order to achieve quality, compliance, and performance optimization within the consulting practice.
  • Guide our clients through the following TPA RFP phases:
    • Outline objectives of the TPA selection process for the client
    • Facilitate TPA claims program design
    • Develop RFP document and create a timeline
    • Facilitate 1-2 days of formal TPA oral presentations to client
    • Conduct financial analysis on pricing and outcomes
    • Service evaluation on proposed staffing and capabilities
    • Conduct RMIS technology reviews
    • Conduct proposed account manager interviews
    • Facilitate objective scoring and check client references
    • In some cases, role will involve guiding client through new TPA implementation which may include takeover of claim handling from former TPA
What you Need to Have
  • BA/BS degree in related discipline
  • 7
years of significant industry experience preferably in a TPA account management or claims management role with a casualty carrier or TPA, or related casualty consulting role with a broker or consultant.
  • Deep understanding of TPA program design to facilitate successful outcomes
  • Strong oral presentation skills and executive presence; often presenting to Fortune 500 clients
What will make you stand out:
  • Significant account management and/or project management experience with an insurance carrier or TPA.
  • Prior experience in managing TPA/carrier claims servicing competitions.
  • Capabilities in demonstrating complex concepts and outcomes visually via Excel or PowerPoint and to be able to demonstrate experience in working with senior leaders and C-Suite executives
