As the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, we pride ourselves on providing top-tier entertainment and engaging content to our fanbase that stretches from Fairfield County all the way across the Long Island Sound.
We are hiring Seasonal Interns in the following departments: Community Relations, Digital Marketing, and Creative Services. If you are passionate about the game of hockey and growing your career in the sports & entertainment industry, then we want to get to know you.

How to Make the TeamMembers of our internship program are key teammates of the Islanders and help us work on all gameday entertainment and fan experience initiatives as we put on an exciting show for fans. They are dedicated to helping our team throughout the season and are ideally available for all regular season home games through their internship term.

These roles require a 'can do' attitude and will reside within the Islanders Marketing team and will report directly to the department leads in accordance with their position.
Show Us You Can
  • Ability to manage fundraising activations and interact with the public at gamedays and off-site events

What Skills You'll Use
  • Reliability: Have reliable transportation to and from Total Mortgage Arena for games
  • Flexibility: Ability to work all Bridgeport Islanders home games for the season
  • Accountability: Take complete ownership of your work

Your Equipment
  • Experience or relevant coursework around working in sports or within sports management preferred, but not required
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility with your schedule and available to work Bridgeport Islanders home regular season games as needed
  • Passionate and invested in your work
  • Professionalism regarding deadlines and punctuality
  • A motivated self-starter with a no-task-too-small attitude

Where You'll GoDuring the season, you will primarily report to the arena for both office hours and home games. You will also be requested to attend off-site events in the community during nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
