This position is for a Launcher Software Lead to support the LRHW Software Team.

In this role you will provide key technical leadership for the Launcher Software Team by providing insight for architectural and design based decisions.

Successful applications will have strong Real Time Embedded Development experience with Vxworks, C++ experience and must possess an active Secret Clearance.

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.

Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.

Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.

Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.

Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated professional experience with embedded software, C++ and VxWorks
  • Agile development and processes
  • DoD Secret ClearancePreference for this requisition will be given to Space Employees

  • Experience developing ground software for military systems
  • Full software development lifecycle experience
  • Strong knowledge of embedded software solutions

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
