Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Derive software requirements, define architecture and interfaces, drive software behaviors, and support verification and traceability of requirements.
  • Systems Engineering: Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the overall software system functionality, interdependencies, and interfaces.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary engineering team of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in the development of verification plans and process improvements.
  • Risk Management: Identify, mitigate, and resolve risks.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with 8+ years of experience or an MS with 6+ years.
  • Experience: Experience using requirement database tool(s) such as DOORS or Cameo Systems Modeler.
  • Skills: Demonstrated understanding of the top-down systems engineering process for architecture development and bottoms-up verification.
  • Collaboration: Experience effectively collaborating and communicating within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Agile Environment: Experience working within an Agile environment (or equivalent).
  • Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering: Experience and/or working knowledge with Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies, particularly modeling in Cameo Systems Modeler (or equivalent) using SysML.
  • DoD Acquisition: Experience and/or working knowledge with DoD acquisition processes and methods.
  • Software Engineering: Experience and/or working knowledge with software engineering throughout the software lifecycle.
