ACERTUS is seeking a motivated Junior to Mid-Level Data Engineer to join our team at a fast-growing automotive logistics company. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines to support our growing data needs for analytics and AI/ML. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data engineering principles, experience with Snowflake, Python, and DBT, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business value. This position can sit in St. Louis, MO, Mission, KS or be fully remote.

Schedule: Monday -Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: Based on experience

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake, Python, and DBT.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements to support dashboarding, AI/ML, customer facing reports, and self-serve data sources.
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Design and implement data models and schemas that support analytical and operational use cases.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and apply them to our data infrastructure.
  • All other duties as assigned by management

What we require:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field and relevant experience.
  • At least one year of experience or demonstrated ability through independent projects or internships.
  • Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python, and DBT is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database technologies.
  • Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, AWS preferred.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A willingness to learn and share knowledge with others.
