Key attributes and responsibilities of the position include:

 Plans, organizes, and keeps an accurate record of preventive maintenance activities related to rooms, common areas, restaurant & kitchen areas, and its equipment.

 Carries out basic preventive maintenance of rooms/restaurant/kitchen/common areas to maintain safety, working order, prolonged equipment life, and overall appearance.

 Rotates, replaces, or reprograms locks as appropriate.

 Reduces utilities through efficient running of equipment and timers.

 Prioritizes and carries out maintenance tasks as requested by guests, management, and other departments.

 Replaces burned out bulbs exterior and interior to the building in accordance to brand and safety standards.

 Carries out cleaning duties as assigned.

 Keeps walks and entrances clear of snow and ice when applicable.

 Provides General Manager with written or verbal reports on all short term and long-term maintenance projects.

*And other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

 Prior maintenance experience in hotels, apartments, or similar facilities

 Proven proficiency with painting, plumbing, drywall patching, basic mechanical systems, electrical and other general maintenance required.

 Alabama pool certification is a plus
