Division Chief Psychology

The Chief of Psychology will work collaboratively with other Division leaders in the department including Psychiatry, Social Work, Nursing and Research.Faculty in the Division also contribute to other training programs within the department, including medical education, psychiatry residency, child psychiatry fellowship, social work internship, and nurse practitioner fellowship.PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from APapproved program; NYS license required.Experience working in an academic medical center setting in a leadership role; Demonstrated excellent clinical, training/teaching and leadership skills;Demonstrated ability to create and execute a successful clinical specialty program in any area of child or adult mental health; Evidence of experience and expertise in mentoring junior faculty; A track record of promoting diversity and inclusion.Candidate should meet criteria for appointment to the College of Medicine faculty at the rank of Associate or Full ProfessorClinical expertise in the areas of Eating Disorders, Community Mental Health, Geriatrics, Child and Adolescent, Health Psychology, Family Therapy, Parent-Child relationships, ADHD or Psychological Assessment will be given priority.Consistent with the combined missions of the College of Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry, one of our primary goals is to attract and cultivate a dynamic and culturally sensitive faculty and staff who exemplifies, promotes and celebrates diversity.Recruitment Office: Stacy Mehlek, Faculty Affairs & Faculty Development Executive Order: Pursuant to Executive Order 161, no State entity, as defined by the Executive Order, is permitted to ask, or mandate, in any form, that an applicant for employment provide his or her current compensation, or any prior compensation history, until such time as the applicant is extended a conditional offer of employment with compensation.
