Associate Scientist - Large Molecule Analytical Sciences

Global Quality Large Molecule Analytical Sciences (GQLMAS) in West Point PA, in our Manufacturing Division, is accountable for the inline analytical support of large molecule, vaccines and biologics. This team is highly motivated, fast-paced and focused on the rapid advancement of our Company's large molecule pipeline, plus growth of existing products. This position will involve inline method optimization, testing and troubleshooting of cell based potency methods with focus on large molecule (vaccine and biologic).

We are seeking a highly motivated colleague to join our team as an associate scientist supporting our inline and pipeline vaccine programs. This position will work in a GMP environment under the direction of a laboratory guide and will be expected to execute cell-based assays in a high throughout environment. The candidate will work with a large team of colleagues to deliver high quality results for multiple vaccine products.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Daily lab experiments (routine and non-routine testing)
• Data Analysis and Review
• Authoring Technical Summaries
• Timely Delivery of Run the Business Lab Support Activities.
• Engagement in Cross-Functional Teams

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, bioengineering or related sciences and a minimum of 1 year of relevant knowledge with analytical laboratory.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Knowledge with analytical methods in a development laboratory or knowledge in Quality control (QC) with working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) or standardization of labs
• Ability to work objectively and within a cross-functional team.
• Good technical, communication (oral and written), stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and proven performance record.
• Knowledge with mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays, and/or vaccine research, including at least one of the following techniques:
• Bioassays
• Viral Infectivity assays (plaque/TCID50/others)
• Cell Culture
• ELISA
• PCR/RT-PCR (traditional and real-time)

Preferred Experience and Skills::

• Deviation management and change control processes
• Electronic Notebook and LIMS systems
• Experience with Quality Audits
