What will I do in this position if hired?

In this position, you will collaborate with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) counterparts to understand Foreign Intelligence Entity (FIE)
threats and/or risks to FEMA and Department

Typical assignments include:
Performing moderate-level support work in conducting defensive counterintelligence awareness and reporting (CIAR)
training for FEMA personnel, partners, and stakeholders sensitizing them to the threats posed by FIEs.
Interacting with liaison contacts for operational coordination, information sharing, and other matters of mutual
or multi-jurisdictional interests.
Serving as a consultant on counterintelligence issues involving FEMA personnel, information, equipment, facilities,
operations, suppliers, and systems providing advice and guidance as appropriate.
Conducting debriefings and interviews to obtain information of security, counterintelligence, investigatory and/or
intelligence value.
Incumbent prepares and presents briefings for senior USG officials to articulate FIE threat to FEMA equities.

All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description.

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
