Security Administrative Assistant

KBR is seeking a Security Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position supports the NAVAIR PMA-231 Advanced Hawkeye Command and Control platform office in our Lexington Park, Maryland location. The successful candidate will team with other professionals in providing support services through the Security Office.

Note: This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains program facility accreditation files to include physical accreditations and personnel files.
  • Maintains visitor control in the facility to include providing visitor badges; escorting uncleared visitors; and verifying visitor clearance information using customer approved databases.
  • Conducts inventories of controlled and accountable material.
  • Maintains document control/database records to include creation, receipt, dispatch, tracking, destruction of documents and media, to include through electronic and physical transmissions in accordance with policy and facility guidelines.
  • Manages media for correct markings and application of cover sheets as necessary.
  • Executes corporate clearance processing for security personnel; processing DISS queries and requests for visitors including verifying authorization for access.
  • Assess, develop, and implements security policies and procedures that help ensure classified information is protected in all stages at all times.
  • Completes the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process as well as the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG).
  • Maintains all purchase card documentation to meet contract requirements.
  • Backs up the Security Manager and/or CPSO position as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 8 years relevant experience can be substituted for a degree.
  • Must have experience with the Department of Defense (DoD Volumes 1-4 and ICD 705 directives. Manage an Automated Document Control Database (ADCS) and ensuring accountability and tracking is always maintained.
  • Must be able to conduct security briefings to include indoctrinations, debriefings, and administer Security Education Training Awareness (SETA) that supports SAPs.
  • Must have experience working with the Electronic Processing Access Requests (EPAR) system.
  • Must have experience with investigating losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A current Top-Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years is required.
