Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Sr Quality Improvement Analyst assists all levels of QI staff with audit controls and consistencies, training and development, root cause analysis, process improvements, risk assessment, and critical thinking. This role will manage larger QI tasks/initiatives/projects with support from the QI Manager. The Sr QI Analyst will lead QI Analysts in the absence of the QI Manager; and QI Specialists in the absence of the QI Supervisor. Moderate to advanced technical skills and experience across Microsoft programs, especially Excel, is required. An understanding and experience with Lean Six Sigma principles expected. Throughout employment, continual self-development, including obtainment of a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate, is expected. Accountability, adaptability, and the ability to quickly and efficiently shift gears throughout various projects each workday is necessary to succeed in this role. Demonstrating and encouraging a collaborative-thinking team culture with a positive spirit of helpfulness is an absolute must-have.
  • Owns, plans, executes and escalates a variety of audits for Operational teams on short-term and long-term basis, adjusting for moving parts and directional changes
  • Tracks, trends and critically analyzes audit data and findings to identify the root cause, provide lean and quality-driven process and resource recommendations
  • Ensures accuracy, completeness, integrity, consistency and timeliness of data of individual work and that of the QI team
  • Captures and identifies improvement, automation and standardization opportunities, with inclusion of risk factors
  • Maintains documents / spreadsheets with analytical and performance data
  • Creates presentations, summaries, reports of audit findings and recommendations for management and across operational teams
  • Critically analyzes audit touch points for the leanest method in producing quality data
  • Works with cross-functional teams in implementing process and system changes
  • Works with IT / Data Analysts in creation and servicing Dashboards
  • Interprets and presents audit and analysis results to internal and potentially external stakeholders
  • Prepares and modifies QI SOPs, PnPs, resources, and training documents
  • Leads and participates in discussions and meetings within the Quality Improvement team and amongst cross-functional teams
  • Develops interrelationships amongst operational departments, including various role and leadership positions
  • Completes audits of the auditors
  • Provides direction, training and coaching to other team members
  • Cross trains to back up all QI roles, including the QI Supervisor
  • Leads the Specialists in absence of the QI Supervisor; leads the Analyst(s) in absence of the QI Manager
  • Projects a high-level professional demeanor; maintains a positive attitude with a team player orientation, and keeps confidential information contained
  • Assists with developing an uplifting QI team culture of inclusion, continual learning, helpfulness, ownership, and kindness

Qualifications

  • Associates degree is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred; Advanced work experience within the quality field would be considered in lieu of a college degree
  • 4+ years' experience performing quality or business process improvement analysis; Knowledge of Microsoft Office toolset (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Visio is a plus; Quick data processing skills is a must
  • Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt preferred

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Leads QI Specialists in absence of QI Supervisor; leads Analyst(s) in absence of QI Manager

Working Conditions

  • Office setting with long periods of sitting and computer work

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
