What You'll Get To Do:

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead a team of Network operations professionals, providing direction, guidance, and mentorship.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for the team and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Network Operations

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Network domain, ensuring uptime, reliability, and security.
  • Oversee hardware procurement, installation, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Implement and optimize Network infrastructure, including power and cooling systems.
  • Manage 24/7 operations of Network Services.
  • Expertise managing manufacturing IT/OT network environments.

Performance Optimization and KPI's

  • Develop , monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Continuously evaluate and optimize Network ops performance to meet business objectives.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with Network OEMs, ensuring SLAs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to optimize value for the organization.

Budgeting and Cost Management

  • Develop and manage budgets for network operations, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report on financial performance with right chargebacks to the regional BU's.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in Network operations.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and executive leadership, to align network operations with business goals.
  • Communicate regularly on operational performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

Capacity Planning

  • Forecast future capacity requirements for network infrastructure based on business growth and demand projections.
  • Develop strategies for scaling infrastructure resources proactively to meet evolving needs while minimizing costs.

Automation and Orchestration

  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline routine tasks, improve operational efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.
  • Implement orchestration tools and frameworks to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure resources.

Training and Development

  • Develop training programs and resources to enhance the skills and knowledge of network operations staff.
  • Encourage continuous learning and certification opportunities to keep the team abreast of new technologies and best practices.

Risk Management

  • Identify and assess risks related to network operations, including security vulnerabilities, compliance gaps, and technology dependencies.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential threats and minimize impact on business operations.

Performance Metrics and Reporting

  • Define key performance indicators and metrics to measure the performance and effectiveness of network operations.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into operational performance, trends, and areas for improvement.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and updates relevant to datacenter and cloud operations, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and industry regulations.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address any compliance requirements and maintain a robust governance framework.

What You'll Bring:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Electronics, or a related field and ten years of progressive experience in the specialty field of Network operations and management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, client management and project management skills along with a strong business development track record
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience in managing Geo diverse support teams and partners.
  • Ability to develop a culture of service excellence.
  • Ability to foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
  • Passionate about technology and the operations discipline; self-driven and knows how to get things done.
  • Strong technical expertise in Network domain including but not limited to LAN/WAN/WLAN/Security

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF)
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG)
  • Knowledge of network security practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS.)
  • Experience with cloud networking, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, is a plus.
  • Experience on Cisco, Palo Alto, Zscaler , Infoblox , SolarWinds environments.
  • Experience on routing and switching technologies
