Kindergarten Teacher

Buckingham Friends School seeks a new full-time kindergarten teacher to start September This position includes responsibility for the curriculum and teaching of the kindergarten class; working closely with and maintaining positive and effective relationships with the kindergarten assistant teacher, reading specialist, and other Lower School teachers; developing and implementing curriculum aligned to national standards; partnering and communicatin g regularly and effectively with parents; writing progress reports and maintaining student records; advancing the School's mission as a Friends school, aligning with the School's core values and philosophy, actively supporting the School's strategic plan; and assisting with admissions.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching at the kindergarten level, a strong understanding of early literacy and numeracy acquisition, the ability to differentiate instruction, a deep commitment to developmentally appropriate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, & Belonging practices, and a demonstrated track record of contributing to their former school(s) and their future vision, community, and culture.
