In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Positions Manage all material handling activities, inventory control & material movements from the inbound of goods receipt to final packaging within the IFP facility at Site Clayton, with an emphasis on optimization, timeliness, accuracy, continual improvement & compliance to cGMPs. Relationships Manager, Warehouse & Logistics. Essential FunctionsManage Warehouse Training Instructor & Material handling teams across four (4) shifts to provide 24/7 support, to include hiring, developing & performance management (performance expectations, reviews & evaluations)Manage timely flow of materials between the warehouse & productionMaintain & develop department procedures/SOP's according to cGMP'sDevelop/track internal metrics to measure department performanceImplement corporate initiatives for the material handling functionCoach & provide continuous feedback to drive required leadership development of all Work Cell Leaders & Shift CoordinatorsDrive continuous improvement of the material handling processes, to include agility, simplification & standardizationManage monthly & annual inventory count life cycle, both on-site & off-site, to ensure accuracy & complianceDevelop strategy for resource optimization & allocation including, but not limited to, personnel resources, warehouse space capacity & implementation of long-term resource utilization capacity analysis plans to ensure optimum level of production supportDevelop, implement, & maintain Strategy for PS Production System in the material support functions through alignment with cLEAN practices & principlesServe as systems owner for the warehouse storage rooms, to include cold storage, API freezers, ambient storage & label control areasDevelop & track internal metrics to measure department performance & drive efficienciesManage vendor relationships by providing & maintaining warehouse systems/equipment (e.g., Carolina Handling, Patterson Pope, etc.)Establish & sustain effective communication with all stakeholders (FP, AP IQC, QC, Intralogistics 4.0)Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther accountabilities, as assigned Physical Requirements May move equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. May be required to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May required corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. May require the ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protections. Development of People Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field of study from an accredited university required. Based on P&O review/agreement, combination of education & internal NN relevant experience may be consideredMinimum of eight (8) years of internal NN equivalent experience of increasingly progressive warehouse/production support experience (Material Handling &/or Inventory Control) with High School diplomaMinimum of three (3) years of production/production support supervisory experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry requiredProject management experience preferredProven process improvement & problem-solving skills preferredExcellent verbal & written communication skills; good presentation skillsExperience with ERP/MRP (SAP) systems requiredProven process improvement & problem-solving skills preferred, Green Belt certification a plusKanban / LEAN manufacturing experience preferredcGMP & FDA regulations knowledge preferred We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
