The Supervisor reports to the field Operations Manager and is responsible for the following activities under the direction and guidance of the Account Manager or Account Director:

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of employees within the shift and assigned buildings. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable State and Federal laws.
  • Review and understand individual and team responsibilities as per AMD SOW Service Staff Specifications 1.9.23
  • This night janitorial supervisor position is a Working Supervisor position. It is expected the Night Supervisor will cover/complete the duties of any night-shift cleaner not be able to report to work at his/her scheduled time.
  • Assist in managing the overall activities of a project(s), and supervises the project crew.
  • Coordinate services activities for assigned buildings. Ensure that services are performed as contracted and meet the customer specifications.
  • Assigns work request tasks and inspects building areas to see that work has been done properly, orders supplies and equipment, performs inventory control of materials to ensure that an adequate amount of supplies.
  • Maintain/monitor work schedules of all shift personnel, including the preparation and submission of weekly payroll time sheets.
  • Establish/maintain work performance standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory as well as general use of equipment, Including key controls.
  • Resolve on-site services delivery problems.
  • Participate in on-going management/technical skills development training programs. Including safety and safety site committee.
  • Expected to ensure the proper and safe operation (including training) of cleaning equipment, tools, devices, and chemical/cleaning agents in accordance with rules and regulations.
  • Conducts orientation of new employees, develops employees' skills/abilities.
  • Conference room set ups and sometime internal moves as needed.
  • Maintain effective on-going customer relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • One to three years of supervisory experience, and up-to-date knowledge of cleaning practices/procedures. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the management of the site account. Specific responsibilities include: work-scheduling of all shift personnel, establishing work standards in conjunction with the Manager, conducting site evaluations/audits, overall inventory/equipment usage, budget control, employee evaluations, trouble-shooting/problem solving, orientation/safety training personnel, customer relations, payroll (time sheets, check distribution) and special project work as requested.
  • Expected to ensure the proper and safe operation (including training) of cleaning equipment, tools, devices, and chemical/cleaning agents in accordance with rules and regulations.
  • Expected to promptly respond to and notify management of spills and emergency situations, need for major and minor building/facility repairs, and any observable safety issues/concerns.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Excellent verbal written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Motivated individual and proactive
  • Must be dependable, have integrity, self-control, strong leadership, attention to detail, and an eagerness to improve programs and policies.
  • Background check required
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
