The Reservoir Group is seeking a full-time Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) who is eager to support the mental health of students at The Lab School and in the surrounding community.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations
    Individual and group psychotherapy with school-aged clients
  • Consulting with teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and administrators to support students' social and emotional functioning in school and outpatient settings
  • Clinical supervision is available for applicants who are not yet licensed. The applicant will also have access to consultation from both mental health clinicians and providers from other disciplines. Opportunities are available for continuing education. Ideal candidates will possess:
    • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or similar applied field
    • Experience providing therapy to with children and adolescents, ideally in a school setting
    • Experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations focusing on the diagnosis of learning differences and ADHD
    • Experience in schools, and/or with children with learning differences, preferred
    • Experience with IEP documentation and SPED regulations, preferred
    • Excellent collaborative work skills
    • Ability to work independently in a dynamic learning environment.
    • Strong skill and interest in supporting students from a perspective of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Licensed as a psychologist in the District of Columbia (although non-licensed but license-eligible applicants will be considered) The Psychology and Wellness Department of the Reservoir Group consists of psychologists, social workers and counselors who provide clinical services to Lab School students, as well as children, adolescents and adults from the community. The Lab School of Washington is an independent, progressive, arts-based school that serves students in grades 1 through 12 with diagnosed language-based learning differences on two campuses in Northwest Washington, DC.
