This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.

Pay:
Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Duties may include but not limited to the following:
Functions independently as a member of the Medical Staff with full clinical privileges. Assumes complete professional responsibility for clinical assessments, patient-care decisions, and documentation.
Establishes and enforces radiation protection standards for patients and staff.
Maintains an ongoing clinical practice in addition to administrative duties.
Provides direct supervision of Radiology Service section chiefs and supervisors.

Ensures credentialing and privileging requirements are met by all clinical staff in the service, including requirements for Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE).

Complies with local and national performance standards for the Radiology Service.

Attends and participates in administrative and informational meetings for the Radiology Service, Clinical Service for his/her appropriate clinical practice and as requested by the Chief of Staff and Medical Center Director.

Adheres to policies and procedures established by Central Office (VACO), the network (VISN08) and VACHS.
Participates in Radiology Service /Quality Improvement activities.
Directs process improvement/quality assurance/ IRB programs for the Radiology Service. The Radiology Service Chief fosters a culture of transparency, communication, collegiality and patient centered interdisciplinary teamwork.
Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

(Note:
Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).
