Job Description
We are recruiting a Senior Strategic Marketing Manager to support the PPD Data, AI & Technology business area.
In collaboration with the Director of Strategic Marketing, the Senior Strategic Marketing Manager will develop the strategic marketing plan for PPD's Data/Tech/AI solutions , and collaborate cross-functionally to implement the plan across commercial channels.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain foundational value propositions, messaging, and positioning documents
- Develop and maintain foundational commercial materials to support general selling of solutions
- Collaborate with internal marketing verticals (Content Marketing, Marketing Technology & Operations, Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and Brand Execution) and external agencies to implement marketing programs
- Monitor marketing programs to measure performance against plan and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Regularly review and optimize marketing programs based on results
- Represent PPD Data/Tech/AI Solutions at major conferences and events
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- BS Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other relevant studies
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5-8+ years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Curious, motivated, self-directed
- Ability to analyze and synthesize disparate data into clear and concise facts
- Adept at converting product/service capabilities into customer-facing benefits
- Exceptionally strong writing, messaging and communications skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build consensus
- Proven strategic marketing skills
- Content development experience / deploying content to customers
- Thorough understanding of integrated marketing communications for services
- Demonstrated initiative, strategic thinking and strong analytical skills
- Works well under pressure and effectively prioritizes and manages multiple projects
- Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills
- Proven ability to manage internal and external agencies in order to fulfill project objectives
- Skilled in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and proficient with the Internet
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities and goal-oriented
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
- Clinical trial, contract research organization (CRO), pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, and/or agency background experience
- Business-to-business marketing experience
- Professional services marketing experience
