Job Description:

At EnerBank, the Strategy and Research Analyst is responsible for meeting the needs of the division including the development and implementation of various strategic initiatives, home improvement forecasting, home improvement vertical research and pursuing strategic opportunities.

EnerBank USA, a division of Regions Bank, engages in strategic partnerships with home-improvement manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, trade groups, and other organizations (with networks of home improvement contractors) to develop customized white-label loan programs to help them increase their sales as well as attract and retain top dealers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Researches strategic opportunities for the Bank
  • Pursues strategic initiatives specific to the Bank's needs
  • Prepares and presents home improvement market forecasts
  • Researches specific home improvement verticals to ensure expertise within the space
  • Coordinates research efforts with other departments and external vendors
  • Builds and maintains reports specific to our research efforts

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or related field
  • Five (5) years of research, strategy or related experience

Preferences

  • Master's degree in related field
  • Industry expertise in home improvement and/or financial services

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to conduct thorough secondary research (execute on a research plan that involves extensive research of public and privately available data and information)
  • Ability to strategically assess a market and identify strategic opportunities
  • Ability to translate business objective into research objectives and research plans
  • Analytical skills such as basic quantitative analysis, statistics, and regression testing
  • Capability to pursue strategic opportunities through initial implementation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills (planning, managing tasks/responsibilities/deadlines, status updates, etc.)
  • Strong Excel skills (basic function commands, pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to present effectively
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to develop written reports
