Capsa Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic college intern to join our team and assist in our ongoing AI initiatives and data analytics projects. Capsa internships are designed to provide students with an understanding of what it's like to work at Capsa Healthcare. Our interns work on projects that help improve development/engineering processes and product quality. Our interns embrace continuous improvement, technical expertise, and the adoption of the best industry engineering development practices.

As a Capsa Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a group of creative and dedicated Engineers who develop innovative healthcare solutions for a wide spectrum of care providers. You may be part of a scrum team that drives product and customer success, while getting mentorship and support from Senior Engineers and Mentors to help you learn and grow with the ever-changing healthcare manufacturing industry.

Position Location: Portland, OR. We support a hybrid working model.

As the Engineering Intern, your contributions to the team will include:

  • Assist in setting up tools and infrastructure for AI initiatives
  • Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preparation for analysis
  • Perform data analysis and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AI solutions
  • Assist in developing and testing AI models and algorithms
  • Conduct research and stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI and data analytics
  • Document and present findings to stakeholders
  • Support in setting up and maintaining AI tools and platforms
  • Provide support for other related tasks as needed

What we ask of you:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years in the program.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques (Python, R, SQL, etc.)
  • Familiarity with AI concepts and technologies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
  • Familiarity with ML, deep learning, TensorFlow, NLP is a plus

Duration: 3 to 6 months
