Design Engineer

Purpose of Role: Weir ESCO is seeking an innovative engineer to join the Cable Shovel products team. We are looking for an engineer who will utilize their creativity to solve customer problems, expand our product offerings, and support ESCO strategies. The ideal candidate will excel in supporting customers by designing high-quality products swiftly within a collaborative team environment, demonstrating a knack for learning and leveraging the necessary tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cable Shovel Design: Utilizing CAD design, proficiently engineer cable shovel solutions for clients, ensuring precision and efficiency in design processes. Engage clients through compelling presentations, delivering tailored solutions and promptly addressing queries.
  • Manufacturing Oversight for Quality and Efficiency: Ensuring products meet quality standards, adhere to schedules, and stay within budget constraints through effective oversight.
  • Optimizing Product Performance with Sound Engineering: Integrating sound engineering principles to enhance performance and durability, ensuring dependable operation in demanding environments.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience as Design Engineering. Candidate with internship experience will also be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • CAD modeling proficiency (NX is preferred)
  • MS Office suite proficiency
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States
