Job Summary and Qualifications

The Senior Director resource will serve as the Subject Matter Expert and be responsible for leading engagements and demonstrating the value of HealthTrust's Surgical Solutions Advisory services by helping clients solve their most challenging issues in the OR including spend management, inventory management, OR utilization, and operational effectiveness. This position will be responsible for working independently and with the other members of the Advisory Services team, the Account Team, and other HealthTrust resources to complete engagement deliverables including analysis, recommendations, presentations, and implementation plans. The Director will also work with the AVP and Strategic Marketing team to complete account planning, prepare RFP/RFI responses, develop proposals, and support pursuits by leading discussions related to services and solutions currently available.

What you will do in this role includes:

  • Design, optimize, and lead assessments to identify gaps in efficiencies and leading practices within the Operating Room (OR)
  • Develop action plans for clients that will address identified gaps
  • Collaborate with clients and support the implementation of action plans to improve financial and operational performance while maintaining or improving patient care
  • Produce and provide quality assurance of client deliverables
  • Lead client discussions and meetings to present analysis and facilitate client decision making
  • Meet and build relationships with senior executives (CEO, CFO, CIO, etc.) by presenting and discussing industry trends, best in class strategies, and gaining buy in for advisory and implementation services
  • Support organization growth and maturation of service offerings
  • Provide market feedback to identify improvements to current solution offerings
  • Participate in sales pursuits, create proposals, and provide input to presentation materials developed to support sales and marketing process
  • Work with Marketing to develop and maintain go-to-market collateral (e.g. white papers, case studies) and lead generation strategies related to services
  • Identify internal operational improvement opportunities
  • Mentor and assist staff development
  • Communicate with the GPO Account Team regularly to monitor opportunities, complete account planning, qualify leads, provide presentation materials, provide awareness and education relative to services capabilities and value creation

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of healthcare experience in the OR
  • 7-10 years of consulting or performance improvement experience (relevant industry experience may substitute consulting requirement)
  • Experience with Surgical Information Systems (e.g. Cerner, Epic, Meditech, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability in large scale change management
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability
  • Demonstrated sales pursuit management and deliverable creation; 4+ years of selling services preferred
  • Maintains current licensure/credentials in his/her clinical specialty.
