The Department of Neurology at Banner - University Medicine Phoenix is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), to join our dynamic Neurocritical Care team.

This exceptional opportunity is ideal for APPs who are passionate about providing patient-centered care, contributing to the education of clinical skills, and promoting collaboration among healthcare professionals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a current or ability to obtain, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Arizona.
  • Must have certification from a recognized board (AANP, ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs).
  • DEA license, BLS, ACLS certification
  • Preferably have post-graduate training or a strong clinical background in Neurology or Neurocritical Care.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide comprehensive care to neurocritical care patients in collaboration with neurocritical care physicians and the healthcare team.
  • Manage a daily patient load of 12-15, offering both critical care and support to patients and their families.
  • Participate in the educational endeavors of the department, including the training and supervision of nursing staff, residents, and medical students.
