Job Details

  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients.
  • Conduct patient assessments, diagnose orthopedic conditions, and develop treatment plans.
  • Majority of clinical care will take place at our Arrowhead and Main Hospital campus.
  • Assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment options, recovery, and preventive measures.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
  • Provide specialized care in areas such as trauma, neuromuscular conditions, scoliosis, and sports medicine.
  • Lead and mentor a team of healthcare professionals, fostering growth and development with the expansion of the new location.
  • Participate in training programs for medical staff, residents, and students in our new facility.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric orthopedics and share knowledge with colleagues.

Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the orthopedic department.

  • Implement evidence-based practices and protocols.

Community Engagement: Engage with the local community through educational workshops, seminars, and outreach programs.
4.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (typical hours, subject to change).

Call/After-Hours Requirements:
Currently no call or after-hours duties, but anticipate future changes.

Job Qualifications

  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a focus on orthopedics, orthopedic or pediatric orthopedic experience a plus.
  • Valid state license and national certification.
  • Experience in pediatric orthopedics preferred but not required (new graduates are welcome).
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
