Solutions Engineer

You have operated in an Infrastructure Architecture capacity, with a broad knowledge across multiple pillars including things like Hosting, Networks, Public & private Cloud, Storage etc. You would have experience in designing & defining infrastructure artefacts - models, roadmaps, strategies, standards & patterns etc.

  • You will be regarded as an expert in your field, keeping your knowledge up to date with changes in the industry and advising other Solutions Engineers accordingly ensuring that MMC are always leveraging the most effective technologies.
  • You will be expected to detail customer requirements and turn them into excellent solution designs, with an eye for detail and the ability to identify and remediate risk.
  • You must have the ability to input into investment strategy for both infrastructure & architecture being able to advise the customers on the total cost of ownership.
  • You will act as the sole Solution Design/ Infrastructure Architect point of contact for key projects and be used to working in complex & multi-locational global environments.
  • This role is looking for someone who meets all the above and is an advantage would be to be an expert in data and storage technologies both traditional datacenter and cloud based.

We will count on you to:

  • Provide detailed solution designs that are inline with our technology standards consisting of multi tiered architectures
  • Ensure that all designs are secure by design and see these through the relevant security approvals
  • Keep stakeholders informed and manage expectations

What you need to have:

  • B S Computer Science or similar
  • 10+ Years' experience
  • Strong communication & stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience authoring low-level, detailed designs from conceptualization to delivery
  • Ability to create/Design an Infrastructure for Application Deployment
  • Own and enforce a consistent approach to infrastructure solution design within the domain
  • Own and author/assure cross-domain solution designs and supporting documentation, independently and with minimal oversight
  • Provide technical/solution oversight during the development, test and implementation of change, to ensure delivery in line with requirements and design
  • The ability to learn new technology concepts and apply this knowledge to the projects you are working on
  • Applying technical strategy in complex business contexts, using patterns, standards and guidance
  • Experience of translating technical concepts and issues so they can be understood by all stakeholders
  • Experience of maintaining relationships and coordinating with external stakeholders/contacts
  • Practical working knowledge of modern cloud-first architectures, and how to build applications to take advantage of the opportunities they offer
  • The ability to be able to work on multiple projects at any one time is a must, engineers often have many projects on the go

The applicable base salary range for this role is $116,200 to $232,400.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
