Lead Technician

- Manage transit vehicle maintenance in compliance with company standards and policies
- Manage the shift technicians, assign work and parts distribution,
- Document all aspects of work orders to the assigned transit vehicles and related mechanical equipment.
- Ensure accurate upgrades and/or modifications to coach systems, road calls, and on-the-road repairs, as needed.
- Coach and monitor members of the work team.
- Other duties as required.
- A high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' experience managing a shop and team
- Commercial Driving License (CDL) with passenger and airbrake endorsements
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Knowledge of Cummins In-Site program and functions
- In-depth computer knowledge and the ability to scan and diagnose trouble codes
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with operations for successful vehicle pull outs, interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams.
- DOT physical examination and drug test.
- Preferred:
- ASE Certification. If uncertified, you will be required to obtain ASE certifications within 24 months.
- Knowledge of WABCO, Pro-Heat Systems, Thermo-King systems, I/O Control Modules and Functions
