Cleans facilities, including, but not limited to, dusting/polishing furniture, walls, doors, benches, woodwork, cleaning floor mats, washing windows, windowsills, sweeping, mopping floors, maintaining stairways, and vacuuming carpets.Uses drain cleaner to prevent or free clogged drains.Ensures exterior garbage area and interior recycle areas are kept clean and clear of safety hazards.Uses leaf blower for leaves on sidewalks and shovels snow around doors and entrances as needed.Ability to operate a variety of hand and/or power tools and equipment, including hammer, screw drivers, wrenches, mops, brooms, steam cleaner, vacuum, carpet cleaner, leave blower, manlift, extractors, scrubbers, and buffers.Ability to work alone with minimum supervision and with others in a team environment.Incumbent reports directly to Night Custodial Supervisor.Incumbent performs duties in office buildings and outdoors, working with or near potentially hazardous cleaning chemicals, working in wet/icy surroundings, work near fumes, odors, dust, dirt, work in high places such as ladders and roofs, wear protective clothing or equipment, for which safety/health precautions must be followed at all times to avoid injury to self and others.
