Manager, Sales Development

PURPOSE

Manager, Sales Development supports the implementation of Digital Sales Tools by driving process change and is also the long-term business owner of these tools as they go live in North America. The holder of this position will drive significant process change cross the organization that will enable the introduction of the individual tools and is an ambassador for our Digital Sales Solutions to help the North America Commercial team achieve profitable and sustainable market share growth.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Implement a structured change management approach to support the education of individuals and teams to deliver a holistic understanding of the new tools and the product-led organization.
  • Connect roles, tools, data, and ways of working to strategic concepts and initiatives across the brand and commercial organization.
  • Understand customer requirements and interactions to develop success criteria to ensure effective Sales & Marketing meetings.
  • Support the Digital Tools PMs as an in-house consultant to drive implementation of Click, S.Core, Digital Showroom, Assist and the GTM Hub.
  • Ensure a smooth transition and roll-out of solutions. Support and implement an integrated change management program to ensure consistency, alignment, and effective service delivery across North America for all tools.
  • Communication to the project leaders and stakeholders at key milestones to ensure the teams are mobilized.
  • Be the commercial owner of the Digital Sales tools in North America and act as a SPOC for both the North America organization and the Global teams – Digital Showroom, Click, Click Promo FOC Assist & M3.
  • Provide feedback, transparency, and insights on current sales, sell-in related processes and market needs to Global and Local stakeholders.
  • Lead the testing and implementation of Digital Sales Solutions across adidas wholesale.
  • Promote Digital tools within the sales community and ensure a constant communication flow on status of the projects and initiatives to main stakeholders, the Sales Leadership team and other sales and/or project-related functions.
  • Support Sales, Account Operations and Sales Operations on technical issues with CLICK and other tools reported by customers, creation of IT tickets to escalate to Global IT operations.
  • Share and obtain best practice from other markets.
  • Create training materials for Digital Sales Solutions and lead training sessions where appropriate.
  • Plan customer and internal onboarding waves with the Sales leadership team to ensure proper and timely communication ensuring a seamless customer experience through the transition.
  • Support and KPI's to drive site optimization (future)

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Fluent English
  • Advanced Microsoft knowledge and wider Digital skills
  • Either a sales background with an aptitude for digital tools or an IT background with evidence of commercial acumen
  • Leadership skills to drive change cross-functionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven methodological skills (e.g. business planning, strategic development)
  • Broad functional skills and knowledge ideally across Sales, Sales Ops, Account Ops and IT
  • Solid knowledge of the adidas Group business or significant industry experience in this area
  • Mental flexibility, initiative, and determination

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in IT or Business
  • Experience in sales or digital tools
  • Industry: sporting goods / retail / consumer goods
