Job Description​

The Opportunity:

We are hiring a PRN Pulmonary Function Specialist for our Pulmonary Clinic in Lees Summit, Missouri.

Shift Details:

PRN Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Work:

Pulmonary Function Specialist performs all aspects of cardiopulmonary functions assessment and care as outlined in clinical standards of practice. Performing of pulmonary rehabilitation, diagnostic cardiopulmonary function and metabolic testing, assessment based therapeutic interventions and the analysis and reporting of clinical findings. Collect and assess history and physical information, diagnostic testing and review of quality and clinical data pursuant to the development and monitoring of planned interventions in collaboration with the medical staff. Supports and participates in inter intra departmental meetings, performance improvement activities, continuing education, professional growth and development activities and performs other duties as assigned within the respiratory therapy department.

  • Perform and read PFT testing on in and outpatients,
  • Perform and read spirometry testing,
  • Perform and read 6 min stress walking testing,
  • Perform and read arterial blood gas testing,
  • Perform and read oxygen qualification testing,
  • Administer inhaled medications,
  • Administer oxygen
