\tPay is based on past work experience and/or schooling required for the Instrumentation and Electrical Distribution Technician (Trainee): \r
\t \t\t$26.08 an hour for Level I \t\t$29.03 an hour for Level II \t\t$31.40 an hour for Level III. \t\tGreat earnings potential available when meeting B Level and A Level technician requirement. \t \t \r

What you'll do \r
\r

The primary responsibility the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Trainee) role is to learn to maintain, install and repair process equipment, machinery, structures, piping systems, and mechanical equipment in production and production support plants across the site according to the instructions and procedures established by the manufacturer and Bayer.

\tAssist in performing routine, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance jobs that 1) return disabled equipment to a safe working condition or 2) thru regular routine or preventative activities, maintain equipment in good, safe working condition to eliminate unscheduled outages; \tAssist in the installation of new equipment or make modifications to existing equipment that will enhance the operation of process equipment; \tAssist in troubleshooting equipment that is not performing to standards and complete the necessary repairs for optimum performance of the equipment; \tMaintain excellent housekeeping standards; \tOperate all mobile equipment safely and within the working limits of the equipment; \tOperate all lifting equipment, both stationary and mobile, safely, within the load limits of the equipment; \tMaintain accurate records of time spent and material used on work orders; \tParticipate in reviews regarding repairs, replacements, failure analysis, installations, and modifications of equipment; \tComputer knowledge, understanding of diagrams, prints, etc.; \tObserve all company work and safety procedures; \tEnsure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and facilities. \r

Required Qualification:

\tHigh School diploma or GED equivalent; \tAbility to pass a post-offer physical and perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation; \tHours: Monday through Friday 6:45am start time; 8 or 10-hour shifts. Overtime required as needed; \tValid Driver's license and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle (driving record must meet guidelines based on the company's Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers and MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening). \r

\tHigh School diploma/GED AND 6 months fulltime work/military experience OR 12 months parttime work/military experience; OR \tCompleted a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Work-Ready Program prior to graduating High School; OR \tHigh School diploma/GED AND 6 months fulltime postsecondary education also considered. \r
