Mars Petcare is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support our Nutro division at one of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee multiple systems within designated areas.
- Diagnose, adjust, repair, and conduct preventive/predictive maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Adhere to safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the incoming shift Lead Maintenance Technicians and other Reliability Technicians regarding equipment issues.
- Document discrepancies found during preventive maintenance by writing corrective work orders.
- Timely completion and closure of planned work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and bi-weekly preventive maintenance and planned work orders in assigned areas.
- Identify opportunities for area improvements and submit planned work orders.
- Collaborate with Lead Maintenance Technicians and Engineers to implement system enhancements.
- Maintain professional communication with associates and management.
- Assist shift leads with any necessary logic programming adjustments to restore equipment functionality.
- Keep shared equipment in the Maintenance shop well-maintained.
- Support routine shutdowns and start-ups during scheduled downtime.
- Provide resources during project installations.
- Assist in system start-ups and train operators on operational setups.
- Exhibit a culture of food safety and quality in all actions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Proficiency in industrial mechanics, electrical systems, instrumentation and controls, and rigging/millwork tools.
- Experience with injection molding or machining is highly preferred.
