Summary

  • The Senior Cloud Data Engineer oversees data organization, cleansing, and preparation, supporting analytical modeling, programming, and visualization tasks. Responsibilities include developing data pipelines, APIs, and scripts to enhance analytical model creation and application development. Ensures seamless data movement and integration through scripting and programming languages, supporting the development of data consumption layers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage data platform operations, including data transformation across raw, warehouse, and consumption layers.
  • Offer senior-level guidance for troubleshooting, mentoring junior team members, and addressing advanced development needs.
  • Develop data pipelines, APIs, and scripts to streamline analytical model creation and application maintenance.
  • Analyze and design transformation processes based on data evaluation and business needs.
  • Support the upkeep of analytical applications through business logic, automation engineering, and query optimization.
  • Respond promptly to communications, ensure team responsiveness, and uphold departmental best practices.
  • Maintain database documentation and implement change control protocols.
  • Demonstrate service excellence and CARE values, intervening as needed to uphold standards.

Experience

3 to 5 years of experience in data warehousing, data engineering, and cloud-based platforms. Proficiency with cloud technologies, Microsoft SQL Server, Tableau, or similar BI tools preferred.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines accurately.

  • Proficient in critical thinking and maintaining professional composure under pressure.
